SYS.RUST_B // OPTIMIZED
DOC_REF: DEV-001
v. 2.4.1

Streamline your engineering workflow with precision.

A functional, utility-first platform designed for teams who value speed, restraint, and rhythm. Eliminate the noise and focus on what matters.

01. CORE TENETS

High-speed performance

Our architecture is stripped of non-essential abstractions, yielding raw execution speed. Data streams are processed with deterministic predictability, ensuring operations complete within strict millisecond tolerances.

Fig 1. Execution Latency (ms) [x] Time (ms) [y] Volume

Intuitive command line

The interface eschews visual clutter in favor of a robust CLI. Commands are composed via a strict, logical grammar, allowing complex orchestrations to be executed with minimal keystrokes.

> devengine sync --force --target=primary
[OK] Target acquired.
[OK] Delta calculated (14ms).
[OK] Sync complete.

Real-time sync

State mutation is propagated instantaneously across the network topology. A sophisticated consensus algorithm ensures data integrity without sacrificing throughput, maintaining a single source of truth.

How it works

Three steps, and none of them is a sales call.

  1. 01

    Connect

Point DevEngine at a repository or a whole org. Read-only to start; nothing is written until you say so.

    whiteboard covered in equations
  2. 02

    Index

The graph builds in the background — symbols, dependencies, ownership, test coverage and dead code, across every service.

  3. 03

    Ship

Open a pull request and the guardrails come with it: impact analysis, staged rollout, and a rollback that is one click, not one runbook.

What's included

Everything below is in every tier.

  • Semantic index

Cross-service symbol and dependency graph, rebuilt incrementally on every push.

  • Pipelines

Zero-config CI/CD with staged rollout and automatic rollback on regression.

  • Review automation

Impact analysis and ownership routing attached to every pull request.

  • Environments

Share a running branch by URL. Expires when the branch merges.

  • Audit log

Every action, actor and artefact, exportable and retained for seven years.

  • SSO and SCIM

Okta, Entra and Google Workspace, with directory-synced group mapping.

Features

DevEngine, in four parts.

open plan office

Intelligent indexing

Semantic understanding of the entire codebase. Locate dependencies, dead code and optimisation candidates across microservice boundaries in one query.

structured network cabling

Seamless deployment

Zero-configuration pipelines. Push to production behind automated rollback and gradual rollout, with no YAML to maintain.

server racks in a machine room

Real-time collaboration

Multi-cursor editing, inline architecture review and instant environment sharing keep a distributed team in step.

dense circuit board traces

Guardrails

Policy as code on the merge path — licence checks, dependency budgets and migration gates that fail loudly and early.

The work

Recent work, unretouched.

In their words

Three people who pay for this.

We deleted 60,000 lines in the first fortnight because the index finally told us what nothing called. That is the whole pitch.
Priya RaghunathanPrincipal Engineer, Halcyon Systems
The rollout gate caught a migration that would have locked our largest table for nine minutes. It paid for itself before the trial ended.
Tomas LindqvistStaff SRE, Northwind Freight
Onboarding used to be two weeks of asking people where things live. It is now an afternoon with the dependency graph open.
Amara OseiEngineering Manager, Corvid Labs

Questions

The four we are asked most.

Does the index leave our infrastructure?

Not on Enterprise. The control plane runs in your own VPC and the graph never crosses the boundary. On Team, indexes are encrypted per-tenant and stored in the region you pick at signup.

How long does the first index take?

A 2M-line monorepo lands in about ninety seconds. Everything after that is incremental and finishes inside a second on a typical push.

What happens if a deployment goes wrong?

The rollout halts at the first stage that breaches its error budget and reverts to the previous artefact automatically. You get the diff, the traces and the offending commit.

Can we bring our existing pipelines?

Yes. DevEngine reads existing GitHub Actions and GitLab CI definitions and runs them unchanged while you migrate stage by stage.
