The cellar

Transfers
From the nearest airport or station, both directions, in the rate.
Guiding
Walking, ski touring or riding with someone who lives there, arranged the night before.
No minibar
Nothing in the room is chargeable. There is no folio to review when you leave.
Late departure
Until 18:00, always, without asking.

Questions

Is there really no menu?
No. The kitchen cooks what arrived that morning, adjusted to the conversation we had before you came. If something is impossible for you we simply know that already.
What is not included?
A short reserve page in the cellar, and anything you ask us to buy on your behalf. Everything else — meals, transfers, guiding, late departure — is in the rate.
Can we bring children?
At the Coastal Estate, yes, and there is a good reason to. The Alpine and Desert houses are adults only, which is a decision about noise rather than about children.
How far in advance should we book?
Nine rooms fills quickly. Four to six months for the Alpine season, less for the Coast. We keep a short list and it moves more than you would expect.
Three estates, run small on purpose, in places where the quiet is the point.
